How he found chiropractic
A shoulder injury from high-school football and years of headaches led a coach to suggest chiropractic care. After a short course of adjustments, the shoulder improved and the headaches cleared—an early lesson in how the body can recover when structure and function are addressed. A later back injury in 2007 brought him back into care and deepened his interest in the body’s self-healing capacity. He enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic to turn that interest into a career.
A whole-person view of health
Dr. Hammes sees health as more than the absence of pain. His approach blends chiropractic care with physiotherapy, physical rehabilitation, and targeted nutrition support. He also guides patients through the DREAM framework—Diet, Rest, Exercise, Alignment, Mindset—as a practical way to build a more vibrant, resilient life.
Faith, family, and service
His Christian faith shapes how he practices, and he views patient care as a calling to serve others with integrity and compassion. At home, he and his wife Alissa are parents to four children—Korrah, Lola, Violet, and Everett—and share their household with two Wheaten Terriers, Atlas and Athena. Outside the office he stays active, reads, and enjoys grilling.
